ProSocial Joins Forces with “Caine’s Arcade”

Last fall, filmmaker and designer Nirvan Mullick stumbled across a life-size arcade made entirely out of recycled cardboard at an auto parts shop in East Los Angeles.

The whole thing was built by Caine, a creative and entrepreneurial 9-year-old who spent the summer in his dad’s shop. Nirvan was amazed by what he saw and became Caine’s very first customer. Nirvan came back with his camera, made a short film, and, before he knew it, created a worldwide phenomenon.

Seven million people have watched the film online, the producers raised more than $200,000 to pay for Caine’s college costs and, perhaps most importantly, Caine’s story inspired over 100 schools in 9 countries to build cardboard arcades of their own.

Now, Interconnected (the team behind the Caine’s Arcade film) has partnered with ProSocial to launch the Imagination Foundation and to plan and execute outreach around the upcoming Global Cardboard Challenge. Caine’s ingenuity and infectious passion for imagination have inspired all of us, and ProSocial is excited to be a part of it.

Stay tuned for more information on this great partnership and how you can get involved. In the meantime, check out Caine’s Arcade website for the latest news!
